Accessories for Canoes by Australis

Motor Bracket - Swagman Canoe

The Australis motor bracket allows you to attach a motor to your Swagman canoe.

The recommended maximum motor size is 2.5hp petrol or 28-36 pound electric.

Please note:
Australis Canoes recommends that motor sizes not be exceeded as the swagman canoe has a maximum hull speed that can be achieved with motors of the recommended sizes. Exceeding the recommended motor sizes will not make the Swagman travel any faster and may actually cause it to become unsafe.

Outrigger Kit

An outrigger kit is used to add stability to your canoe, much like training wheels on a push-bike.

An outrigger kit is a great accessory when using your canoe for fishing, as it will allow you to stand up to cast and land your catch, and is added safety when using a motor.

Australis outrigger floats are available in colours to match your canoe.

Single Outrigger kit includes:
  • 1 x float
  • 2 x 2m aluminium poles
  • 2 x wing-nuts to attach float to poles
  • 4 x U-bolts
  • 4 x backing plates
  • 8 x wing-nuts to attach poles to canoe with the backing plates

Price : $215

Double Outrigger kit includes:
  • 2 x floats
  • 2 x 3m aluminium poles
  • 4 x wing-nuts to attach floats to poles
  • 4 x U-bolts
